Comedian / Commentator For four years time, Ron competed as a Junior Lightweight bodybuilder, racking up trophy after trophy. He spent three of those years wining the award given for choreography of a posing routine…every single time he would compete. He captured a variety of local and regional titles, all leading up to his two time runner-up status in the Junior Mr. USA. As a result, Ron was asked to be the special guest poser for many other shows, he was asked to judge contests and to write several articles for Natural Physique Magazine, many regarding posing. One of the many things that stayed with Ron long after Judo was the excitement of one on one sports. It sparked a reintroduction to a sport his late grandfather had spent so much time watching and sharing with him…boxing. The prize fighting arena would engulf Ron longer than any previous athletic or artistic outlet thus far. The very spontaneity of one shot changing everything you thought you knew to be happening was addicting. From being an avid fan Ron Yacovetti went on to write for two syndicated Sports Entertainment television shows, “Thunderbox��? and “Heavyweight Explosion��?; both boxing oriented programs. Shortly afterwards, Ron had an ongoing, exclusive column as a writer for BoxingInsider.com. His insights into boxing gained the respects of many veterans of the game, such as the highly respected ring announcer M. Mark Biero. It seemed Ron had sharpened all of his skills…well almost all. The final individual battle he would engage in was with audiences all over America. Hitting them night after night with strong, well-crafted Punch-lines, Ron Yacovetti and his stage experience had now joined forces with his extremely quick wit. Having toured as a stand-up comedian for a number of years, working in places like New York City, Las Vegas, Reno and Atlantic City, Ron became a crowd pleaser with an extremely high level of likeability. Ron Yacovetti is an entertaining speaker who would do any production or event justice.
